Two-week session in Nanjing, China, working with Southeast University students to increase their interest and enthusiasm for English language and American culture,with the goal of improving their basic reading, writing, listening and speaking skills. Classes and activities taught in a casual, camp-like environment; on-campus housing and meals are provided by Southeast University.
Faculty, staff, and graduate students will apply for classroom teaching positions. Teachers will prepare and present daily lectures and other instructional activities, centered around topics in American/Western culture of interest to Chinese college students.
Undergraduate teaching assistants will plan interactive activities with the Chinese students, acting as language partners, working together on classroom projects, and extending friendship in a cultural exchange.
