Classics lecture by PhD candidate Sarah Derbew, Yale University, on “Ebony and Ivory: Skin Color in Heliodorus’ Aithiopika”

This lecture will address perceptions of black skin color in ancient Greece. Through her research Ms. Derbew expects to challenge current constructions of racial categories in the U.S.
