Vol Night Long: Vol That

Friday, 24 March, 2017

Break out your best 90's gear and join us for the last Vol Night Long of the year! Vol Night Long will be held in the amphitheatre outside of Fred Brown Hall (adjacent to the Frieson Black Cultural Center) from 9PM-Midnight on Friday, March 24th.

This #throwback VNL will feature performances by hip hop duo Blackalicious and Study Break Cypher, free food, video game trucks, a 90's costume contest, free giveaways, and much more!

Blackalicious is an American hip-hop duo formed in 1992, from Sacramento, California, and are made up of rapper Gift of Gab and DJ/producer Chief Xcel. They are noted for Gift of Gab’s often “tongue-twisting”, multisyllabic, complex rhymes and Chief Xcel’s “classic” beats.

With both clever, mind-bending verses as well as funk-filled, melodic tracks, Blackalicious will have you singing along to old favorites like “Alphabet Aerobics”, and “Make You Feel That Way” as well as their emotionally packed newer songs.

More info about Blackalicous can be found on their website:
