The University of Tennessee-Knoxville's Campus Entertainment Board (CEB), a committee of the Central Program Council, which is a student-led organization advised by the Office of Student Activities, Division of Student Life, invites you to attend Battle for Vola.
Battle for Vola is an university event that allows undiscovered talent within the local community a chance to win an opening set at the university's annual spring concert, Volapalooza.
Volapalooza started in 2002 as a small end-of-year concert, Volapalooza has since grown into the largest student-organized event on campus, and has become an annual tradition that reaches out to both the UT and Knoxville community. Held on the last day of spring semester classes, Volapalooza's primary purpose is to celebrate the end of a successful year at UT while providing students with a means to unwind before diving into finals week.
Volapalooza strives to create a concert line-up that targets a broad demographic by showcasing various musical genres. This event features a variety of popular music acts as well as local and national vendors. Past performers have included Ziggy Marley, Big Gigantic, Three 6 Mafia, Girl Talk, Flogging Molly, Passion Pit, Cake, any many more. We hope that you will join in on the musical festivities and celebration for Volapalooza 2014!
-First place winner will be awarded the opening set at Volapalooza.
-Second place will be awarded a set at the CEB sponsored 2014 Vol Run
-Cash prizes will also be awarded to the top 4 groups.
