Distinguished Lecture: U.S. Policy on Global Security and Nonproliferation

Thomas Countryman, the U.S. Department of State's Assistant Secretary for International Security and Nonproliferation, will speak on global security and U.S. foreign policy.

The event is free and open to the public.  Parking is available in the Volunteer Hall garage, which is a short walk to the University Center.

Countryman, a career member of the Senior Foreign Service, rank of Minister-Counselor, has been Assistant Secretary for International Security and Nonproliferation since September 2011.  The ISN Bureau leads the U.S. effort to prevent the spread of nuclear, chemical, and biological weapons, their related materials, and their delivery systems.
