As a prelude to its Surrealist Symposium on Monday, April 7, the UT Creative Writing Program has organized a three-day Surrealist Film Fest from April 4-6, featuring a wide range of films, from pioneering short films, animated and hard-to-find foreign films, and contemporary classics. The films are free and open to the public.
Films for Sunday, April 6:
4:30: Naked Lunch. 1991. Directed by David Cronenberg, based on the novel by William S. Burroughs. 115 min.
6:40: Symbol. 2009. "Shinboru" (original title). Directed by Hitoshi Matsumoto. 93 min. Japanese with English subtitles.
8:30: Mulholland Drive. 2001. Directed by David Lynch. 147 min.
