Join us Wednesday, February 19 at 5 pm in Morrison's conference room for a discussion about Current Events
in Bioethics, facilitated by Director of Clinical Ethics, Dr. Annette Mendola. Light refreshments will be
served. Dr. Mendola will provide background on the recent cases involving Jahi McMath, whose family argued that their beliefs were not respected when 13-year-old Jahi was determined to be brain dead by neurologic criteria, and Marlise Munoz, whose body was maintained on mechanical ventilation for 8 weeks after the medical and legal criteria for death were met, in attempt to rescue her fetus. All are welcome.
