All Campus Theatre presents the final show of their season, Homebound: A Play for Nobody by Brock Ward, directed by David Ratliff.
Nobody likes ties. Nobody loves poetry. Nobody wants to go to school. But more than that, Nobody wants to become somebody. Homebound: A Play for Nobody is the story of a young girl's journey to conquer her own mental illness, while finding out what it means to connect in the unfeeling present. With the help of her best friend and her counselor, Nobody will face the public life, and even the face of her own depression.
Homebound is a picture of the day-to-day life of the modern young adult, struggling with mental illness, dealing with stress, loving and hating the people around you... all that fun angsty stuff. My hope is that you find yourself laughing, crying, but more than anything discovering that you are not alone. That the thoughts you are having are not something only you are experiencing, that what you think sets you apart in all reality brings you closer than you could ever fathom, and that there is hope. Hope that you, and everyone else, all of us, will get through it. If a Nobody can, why can't you?
