Equip the Strip: Student Policy Challenge

Saturday, 12 October, 2013

As part of our 10th Anniversary Celebration, student leaders at the Baker Center and on UT's campus have a unique opportunity to work with Knoxville City leaders and campus professors to research and develop recommendations regarding parking challenges, student trends, safety and convenience on the Cumberland Avenue Strip. The City has completed several earlier studies and you can view them here: will help form the basis of our research. In addition, we will be conducting our own online survey to add to this data. Take the survey now!

Join us on October 12th! The event starts at 10:00 am in the Toyota Auditorium. Enjoy coffee and donuts as we learn about the Cumberland Avenue Corridor Project. By 11 am, participants will break into teams to look at a particular issue. Then we will venture out or stay in to explore our assigned issue and gather again around 1 pm for pizza and reports of what we learned in the field. Food and a free t-shirt are your rewards for your registration and PARTICIPATION! Registration will close on October 9, 2013.
