Zero Waste Event Leading to Composting

Wednesday, 27 February, 2013

UT Recycling is tackling a new initiative this week.  Morrill Hall will be the first stie to transform a zero-waste event into a full time composting experience.  UT Recycling will be at Morrill hall from 11-1 each day this week to train diners to scrape their plates so the food scraps can be used as compost. This week, scrapped food will be weighed to determine how much food waste is occurring.  The ultimate goal will be for individuals reduce food waste and composte any scraps they do have left over.  Come to Morrill Hall this week to learn more about how you can help Make Orange Green.  To learn more about composting, visit
