Chie Fueki was born in Yokohama, Japan and raised in Sao Paulo Brazil. She attended Yale Norfolk School of Art in 1995, received her B.F.A. in painting from the Ringling School of Art and Design in 1996 and her M.F.A. in painting from Yale University in 1998. She has had solo exhibitions at Mary Boone Gallery, NY, in 2006 and 2011, and at Shoshana Wayne Gallery, CA, in 2005 and 2008.  She has recently participated in exhibitions at Fredricks Freiser Gallery, NY; Geoffrey Young Gallery in Great Barrington, MA;  Susan Inglett Gallery, NY; Mary Boone Gallery, NY; CTRL Gallery in Houston, TX; Jeff Bailey Gallery, NY and "Greater New York" at PS1 Contemporary Art Center in Long Island City, NY. She currently lives in West Chester, PA and Brooklyn, NY and is working on her third solo exhibition at Shoshana Wayne Gallery in 2013. Chie is represented by Mary Boone Gallery, NY and Shoshana Wayne Gallery in Santa Monica, CA.
