Civil War Lecture Series: Armchair Walking Tours of Civil War Knoxville

Sunday, 03 March, 2013

The third annual Frank H. McClung Museum Civil War Lecture Series continues with this March talk. This once a month series will be held on Sundays at 2 pm in the museum auditorium. McClung Museum Civil War Curator, Dr. Joan Markel, will explore the places and people of the Civil War in Knoxville.

This lecture, "Armchair Walking Tours of Civil War Knoxville," will give an "armchair" view of important Civil War spots around the city of Knoxville using Google Maps.

All lectures are free and open to the public--check our calendar for other lectures in this series.

The museum is located at 1327 Circle Park Drive. On weekends, parking is available on Circle Park and adjacent parking lots.

The museum's exhibits include archaeology, ancient Egypt, decorative arts, the battle of Fort Sanders, geology, and fossils. Admission is free.
