A SPEAKologist noun /spēk ōl ə jist/ is a member of the UT community who is committed to be an active bystander and is trained to Speak UP! for friends, fellow students, and others.
The training will educate and engage the UT community around prevention, bystander intervention, and campus resources. The Volunteers Speak UP! campaign is focused on sexual assault, dating violence, domestic violence, and stalking; but, the skills learned and the practice of speaking up is a life skill that translates across areas.
The interactive Lunch & Learn SPEAKologist trainings will be offered weekly from 11:30 am - 1 pm.
The training will be held in the Executive Dining Room on the 3rd of the University Center.
