Eugene P. Wigner Distinguished Lecture Series in Science, Technology, and Policy

Dr. Steven Chu, 1997 Nobel Prize in Physics, will present on Wednesday, February 12, 10:00 a.m. on "Energy and the Industrial Revolution: Past, Present, and Future." This presentation will be webcast live from Oak Ridge National Laboratory (ORNL) to the Howard H. Baker Jr. Center for Public Policy Toyota Auditorium.  

Dr. Chu is the William R. Kenan, Jr. Professor of Physics and Professor of Molecular and Cellular Physiology at Stanford University, with research focuses in biophysics, biomedicine, energy, and energy economics. He served as the 12th US Secretary of Energy and earned the Nobel Prize for contributions to the development of methods to laser cool and trap atoms.
