Wednesday, 16 October, 2013

Please join us for a viewing of Blue Velvet. With the discovery of a severed ear, Jeffery Beaumont (Kyle Maclachlan) is thrown into a criminal underworld which parallels his peaceful, idealistic town. Through the tension between these two worlds, idealistic and underworld, order and chaos, light and dark, filmmaker David Lynch sheds a light on the way these world's co-dependency, not only in the world of Jeffery Beaumont, but in the world that we, ourselves, occupy. This 1986 film earned David Lynch his second Academy Award nomination for Best Director.
