Dog Days of Summer Fundraiser

Friday, 02 August, 2013

The School of Information Sciences in the College of Communication and Information is hosting a Dog Days of Summer Fundraiser in honor of H.A.B.I.T. HABIT is the UT College of Veterinary Medicine's community volunteer group.

The event will raise money for HABIT programs by charging a $5 admission and selling children and young adult sample books. The money raised will be given to HABIT to provide funds for purchasing books for the 2,000 children in the Ruff Reading program.

The fundraiser will serve as the official launch of the CCI Comfort Canine Days. Beginning on September 4 in the CCI Gary Purcell Reading Room, a HABIT dog will be available for all UT faculty and staff members to stop by and have a de-stressing moment with the dog. The dog will be available from 12 1 every other Wednesday.
